Romance here is structural: golden cliffs, warm evenings and a cuisine built for shared platters. The itinerary simply arranges the props in the right order.
Days 1–2 — Lagos, above the cliffs
Check into a sea-view suite and do gloriously little. Sunset sail from the marina on day one; day two, kayak the Ponta da Piedade coves in the morning calm, then a long lunch and an evening wandering the lantern-lit old town.
Day 3 — Carvoeiro interlude
Transfer down the coast to a private villa or boutique hideaway. Walk Algar Seco's boardwalk at dusk when the day-trippers thin, and book the table everyone photographs — candlelight meets surf noise.
Day 4 — The slow finale
Breakfast on the terrace until it becomes lunch. One last swim at a quiet cove, a bottle from the Lagoa slopes packed carefully for home, and the mutual promise to return in September someday.
